Big tings are coming for Special Records in 2009, with several digital releases from some of Scotland's finest Drum & Bass producers on the schedule!

First out of the gates, and following on from 2007's CD release of COT DEATH's "Digital Cacophony of Global Decay EP," are 2 tracks from potentially the hottest new producer coming out of Scotland at the moment: THE INFEKTED!

THE INFEKTED aka Professa Fresh / Dread Kid Fresh is a man of many talents, fronting Riotstep crew COT DEATH as their singer and producer, releasing bitchin' hip hop and reggae under his Capitol 1212 moniker and of course repping it every 2 weeks as established Scottish drum & bass club night PANGEA's resident DJ alongside Special Records founder Special Ed.

The "A" side of his first release on Special, "DOT SK," is inspired by a recent DJing trip to Slovakia, and features heavy choppy drums, filthy bass and synth lines, and a huge breakdown that ruins the dancefloor every time!

The "B" side is a remix of a huge tune by Slovakian production dons THE SOUNDPHREAKERS, "JUST" feat Dada. With a big bouncy bassline and haunting female vocals, this is another tune that's been tearing up dancefloors across Scotland for some time now.
